Flying Ace 1926 27x41 Linen-backed original US One Sheet
The Flying Ace, the 1926 Richard E. Norman silent, African-American WW1 aviation thriller. To date, the only surviving complete feature film of the Norman Film Studios. A great and historic poster from early African-American cinema. Starring Lawrence Criner, Kathryn Boyd, Boise De Legge, Harold Platts, Lions Daniels, George Colvin, Sam Jordan, Dr. R.L. Brown, Steve Reynolds and an "All Colored Cast".
The poster is in very good condition. It had tiny paper loss scattered in the bottom blank border and some very minor fold wear. There was a 6" upside-down V-shaped tear in the white background area above the credits at lower right. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting.
